Something that never occurred to me was how much I depend on the "crutch" of my cameras focusing system for my photos and it was not until stumbling across this video last night that I realised how much I've been neglecting as far as photo awareness and knowledge. Maybe because street photography isn't truly my thing but I never put the time in to learn distance to be able to focus without using my camera's system. Yes, there's the zone focusing system of course but this is something different, this is nailing focus (not approximating) on a target based on the distance between your camera and them. Very interesting watch, especially for the learning photographer.
He also has a video visibly explaining the zone focusing system for those that don't quite understand it yet which is also a great watch. Check them out!
